This statement explains which cookies preveTEx uses. In short, preveTEx uses only strictly necessary functional cookies — no analytics, tracking, or marketing cookies and no third-party cookies.
1. Cookies we use
preveTEx sets only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep you signed in. They store and secure your session; without these cookies, signing in will not work.
- Authentication and session cookies (the Supabase authentication cookie, identifiable by a name that starts with
sb-and ends with-auth-token) — keep track of your sign-in and session. They remain valid while you are signed in and disappear when you sign out or the session expires.
preveTEx does not use Google Analytics or similar analytics or tracking services and does not load third-party scripts or pixels. Visitor statistics for the public website are measured without cookies (Vercel Web Analytics), without collecting personal data or building user profiles.
2. Why is there no cookie banner?
Prior consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies — cookies essential to provide a service you requested, such as signing in. This follows from the exception for strictly necessary cookies under the ePrivacy rules (in Belgium, Article 129 of the Act on Electronic Communications). Because preveTEx uses only these cookies and sets no analytics or marketing cookies, a consent banner is not required. If preveTEx decides to use non-essential cookies in the future, a consent mechanism will be implemented first.
3. Rejecting cookies
You can manage or reject cookies in your browser settings. If you reject preveTEx’s functional cookies, you will not be able to sign in and the application will not work.
4. Changes
If our use of cookies changes, we will update this statement. The date at the top shows the latest version.
